YELLOW RIBBON PROJECT

Tie a Yellow Ribbon Walk

3 Sep 2005 at 8.00 am






PURPOSE

Join the 10,000 participants from all walks of life in a meaningful journey on 3 Sep '05. Participants wearing yellow ribbons will walk from the Old Changi Prison, to Pasir Ris Town Park where they will tie yellow ribbons on trees to show their acceptance and support for ex-offenders and their families. The Walk aims to bring the message of second chance into the heartlands and raise awareness that ex-offenders and their families could be our friends, neighbours, colleagues and employees too!

Tie A Yellow Ribbon Walk Flag Off

All participants will take a 3.5 km walk

from the Old Changi Prison Wall to Pasir Ris Town Park

Great entertainment, Charity Carnival, lucky draws will be awaiting for participants.

Goodie bags will be given too on a first-come-first-served basis while stocks last.

Did the organiser get permit for each of the yellow ribbon that is going to be tied ?
Else later the police will have to conduct a through investigation for extra/missing ribbon.
Althought it's not white elephant, but i think the law is impartial not to differentiate between YELLOW RIBBON and WHITE ELEPHANT.
