You will not be bale to use Chinese text on IPAQ 512
because HP Singapore is selling a wrong versin of the
IPAQ 512 in Singapore.

The last 3 digits of the IPAQ512 Product ID should be #UUF
for Singpore Version, and not #ACJ which is an India version.
This is the reason why all IPAQ512 sold by Starhub and HP
Singapore cannot set their Locale ID correctly to display
Asian text properly.

Many complaints has been sent to Starhub and HP Singapore,
but the product manager DO NOT want to admit his mistake
and replace it with the correct version or deliver a solution.
Instead, they ask their HP customers to download Trial CE-Star
software from Mobern website. Then 2 weeks later, my IPAQ512
will display blank screen even when sms in English text, unb;less
I uniinstall the trial softwarre.

I never expect a professinal organinsation like HP will hire staff to
do this kind of unscrupulous business in Singapore!! It must be the
bad influence lah!! Whahahahaha.

WHY don't you write directly to the top guys in both co's high-
lighting this problem and c.c this to Sales & Marketing Depts.,
the product manager may just be trying to cover his own
backside.....and you'll still be stuck with the same useless
product in one year's time?

I had to find out their email addresses, but in vain.
So may just try to do this message here for the whole year round until
they give me solution

Hardly the solution you want......their websites should provide
the info. I have written directly to the top guys <foreign cos>
over unsatisfactory products in the past, and they were quick in
responding and resolving the problems.
You post here, only the 'boh liaos' <e.g guys like me> who read
this NG to pass their time and make noises, I doubt any HP &
Starhub hierachy will read your postings.....if and when you
carry on your complaints too far, it may be deemed as "libelous",
the next thing you get is a lawyer's letter suing you for

Wahlau, the HP Support now suggested me to try out Monster Chinese
Input System. I am not so stupid this time as I have been cheated to
waste time on trying out CE Star on HP IPAQ 512 WifFi phone. After go
round and come back to same dame problem. Don't undertsnad why HP
nowaday also use this kind of unprofessional tactics. HP Singapore
should provide solutiom to its IPAQ512 customers instead telling it s
customers to try out this and that, and then at the end come back to
same old problem.
